Shillelagh Hunt Makes Welcome Donation
The Aoife and Aine Kennedy Memorial Fund received a welcome donation recently, as the members of the Shillelagh and District Hunt handed over a cheque for €1,000. The money will go to help fund children’s charities in memory of the two little sisters Aoife and Aine who died tragically at the ages of five and a half, almost four years apart. St. Senan’s Primary School in Enniscorthy received an early Christmas bonus in 2011, as a cheque for €4,500 was handed over, following a charity fundraiser earlier in the year. Two resuscitation trolleys were presented to Wexford General Hospital early in 2011 in memory of little sisters Aine and Aoife Kennedy. Funding for the beds was raised at the annual Halloween Ball in Kenny’s Pint Depot in Carnew last October, and €3,300 was invested in the equipment which was badly needed in the ICU and St. Gabriel’s children’s ward.
